Streamathon Project

For the 2017 NYE Streamathon I am creating a planner for in your purse.  It includes calendar pages as well as some pages to plan or organize each month.  I have pages you can print out.  If your printer prints on both sides then print on a nice card double sided then I will show how they get trimmed and folded during my stream.

Planner pages can be printed here:   Planner Inserts

If your printer does not print double sided you can either flip the pages to print on the other side or you can print single sided and cut them into 4.  Then you will need 6 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 sheets cut in half long - ways (4 1/4 x 11) and folded at 5 1/2

Other supplies you will need are 2 sheets 12x12 pattern paper.  Or enough papers in other size to make 3 @ 4 x 6 covers and for the cover which is 4.5" x 13  I am using Kraftex for my cover you can also use leather or paper.

TOOLS needed

Paper trimmer
awl or cropadile to punch holes
elastic cord
Paint - for decorating cover

Can't wait to see you all tomorrow morning at Dede who starts off the streamathon!

Hey there all you artists and crafters, here is the updated list of streamers and their live links.  This still may be updated and changed as time goes on but for now this is our schedule for our 2017 Streamathon.

It is that time of year again and preparations are underway for this year's NEW YEAR'S EVE STREAMATHON

I am part of a wonderful online art community. Some of us have even met in person either as part of an Art Retreat, because of traveling and/or vacation visits or some have discovered they live near a fellow community member.  Right about now, I bet you are thinking what is this online community I am talking about?  I will give you a brief outline...

More than 7 years ago I found Paula, aka Journal Artista, on her YouTube channel then on and through her the extremely talented Dede WIllingham (Inkwell/Inkiwell) and the small group of people who at that time watched these 2 wonderful artists on    Shortly after this I also began to do live streams. Over the last 7 years, this community has grown a great deal.  Of course like all groups of friends some have gone and new people are always finding their way to this wonderful, funny, sharing group of artists.

We have talent in all types of media from watercolour to mixed media, to portraiture to quilting, knitting, crocheting and almost any other type of media and craft you can think off.  There is something for everyone, especially friendship.

There is a group of us who stream on a regular basis, there are some who stream occasionally and some who are the stalkers, um I mean the audience.  But all are vital to our group.

Several years ago a number of us were discussing doing something special on New Year's Eve and we decided to go big.  Yes siree, instead of one of us streaming a special show we decided to celebrate the New Year in each time zone around the world and have many streamers and VOILA we have a NEW YEAR'S EVE STREAMATHON.  And Streamathon it is!  As close to 24 hours as we can get.  The time slots are for the most part 2 hours long and somewhere in the world during the stream citizens celebrate the beginning of the New Year.

The content on the stream is planned by the individual streamer.  Some will deliver a stream similar to their regular stream; some a special project.  Some may even do a project that you can play along with.  If the streamer is planning an art along,  I will either post a supply list and/or pattern here on the blog. or link to the streamers blog so you can collect everything you need and play along with the streamer.  Off course you are free to do your own art or for that matter simply watch and chat.

Below is a list of the streamers and times.  Notice this all begins on the morning of Dec 31st.  Yes, you read that right.  Remember we are celebrating the New Year all around the world in as many time zones as we can.  Thus far I am the only streamer filled in but as the next week or so passes more streamers will choose their time and I will update the list as they do.  Notice all the times are posted in Eastern Standard Time.

NoJoPro (Novemebr Journal Prompts)

I was so excited waiting for Dawn DeVries Sokol to post the NaNoJouMo prompts for 2017.  I even have my journal made and ready to go with a daily watercolour page.  I had decided to use the prompts to inspire a watercolour painting so I could practice using my new M. Graham watercolours (graciously given to me by Melody G) and I have some Daniel Smith, Sennelier and Schminke watercolours graciously shared with me by Carol TMT (The Magickal Touch on UStream and YouTube).

I was so disappointed not to see any prompts today for NaNoJouMo and not even a word about whether there will be any forthcoming.  So I decided to do my own prompts.  I like to journal using either lyrics of a song or a quote to inspire me.  However i don't want to limit others to that so I am simply going to use one word as a prompt and then you all can take it and let it inspire you however you work best.

Do you like watercolour, oils, acrylic, mixed media, sketching, tangling scrapbooking or other medium?  Then this set of prompts is for you.  Do whatever you like.  The goal is to just do some art everyday no matter what form it takes for you.  Please enjoy.

If you Share your art on social media please tag it #NoJoPro2017.  Thanks and Enjoy.

Feel free to print this jpeg and include it in your journal.  if you don't finish in November then finish when you can.
