Streamathon 2018-2019 Project

Once again this year I am sticking to my theme of creating a calendar as my Streamathon project.  This year i have designed "My 2019 Art Calendar".  The project has a Blank page available for you to create your own art for each month of this coming year!

SAMPLE PAGE
The PDF file for the calendar can be found HERE.

This project was designed to be printed double-sided.  (Later I explain an option if your printer will not print double-sided*)  My EPSON XP850 has the option to automatically print double-sided and my file prints properly on my printer choosing "long side binding".  Please test your printer by printing just pages 1 & 2 to make sure it sets up correctly.

I am going to watercolour my images on each month so I am printing on cold press watercolour paper.  You can print on sketch paper, card stock, or mixed media as your printer will allow and the medium you will be using to add art to your calendar.  You may want to sketch, draw and colour, add a colouring image, or do mixed media or collage the choice is yours.  I specifically created this so that it is a versatile project and anyone can make it their own.

The pages as they will print are set to have each page cut in half at 5.5" on the 11" side of a letter size page.  Then it folds at 4.25".  And then these 2 halves create a signature and the signatures will be joined with the Coptic stitch.  Depending on the thickness of your paper you may need to trim the pages once folded and set into a signature.

If you printer does not print double-sided or you wish to create the calendar on heavier paper, I suggest you cut your paper (4 sheets 8.5" x 11" and cut at 5.5 on the 11"), create your signatures and do the Coptic Stitch.  Once your mini book is bound then print the file on copy paper and cut the pages in half in both directions and use double-sided tape or glue to adhere the printed pages to the appropriate page in your calendar.

ENJOY!

New Year's Eve Streamathon 2018-2019

EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT!!!!

It is that time of year again where we are making our plans for the holiday season and of course the last several years we have had an art Streamathon to ring in the new year around the world starting early on Dec 31st.  I am using the North and South American EASTERN time zone to make it easiest for everyone to figure out the times in their part of the world.  For reference EST is GMT -5 hours.

Below is the current list of streamers with links to their YouTube Channels.  In past years we streamed on Ustream but as of this past June, Ustream is no longer a free live streaming platform so we have all moved to YouTube Live.  There is one space empty as I am still waiting to hear back from a streamer.  If the space doesn't get filled by then I will fill the time myself.

This is a very fun time and each streamer will be deciding the project they are doing.  Some may have a give away and some may not.  Each streamer who chooses to do a giveaway will also choose how and when they will do it during their stream.  Their decision is final and their moderators will assist with the giveaway.

Speaking of Moderators, Each streamer has moderators who help assist with the chat flow.  We do not accept chatters who make disparaging or nasty comments nor those who use foul language.  These actions will result in you being banned from participating in the chat.  This is a fun time for streamers and viewers so we don't want to deal with negativity of any type.
